The Landings Golf Club currently leases space from the City of Clearwater for $1,000.00 per month. The City of Clearwater has entered into negotiations with Harrod Properties Inc, a local development company. Harrod would like to convert part of this property into a light industrial / manufacturing space in three phases. It would bring higher paying manufacturing jobs to the area but it would also impact the neighboring residents and their homes in the area. The citizens of Clearwater will get an opportunity to vote on this at the November 2020 election. Since this is public land it requires the approval of a citizen referendum. The video is from the August 3, 2020 panel presentation and questions and answers about this project.

I'm hoping that good questions that were not asked at last night's CNC Landings Presentation due to lack of time will be re-posted here, and that we can encourage the five presenters (Rob Webster from Harrod Properties, Elizabeth Drayer, Bryan Beckman, Denise Sanderson and Sheridan Boyle) to respond with any additional information. A well-informed voter is the basis of our democracy.

Our law firm obtained with the help of the City of Clearwater's Engineering Department and City Attorney, Pam Akin, the aerial plot of The Landings property with all citations to the official record deeds and other documents showing how the City acquired the 13 parcels of land that make up The Landings between 1031 and 1970. We have reviewed all the recorded relevant property records and could find no deed restrictions on the proposed use of the property. If anyone would like a copy of our report, just email me at David@LillesandLaw.com.
